This weekend wrapped up the final leg of the Triple Crown series.

We came into the weekend trailing by 21 points in the overall standings. We knew it would take a big cook to have a chance, and the team answered.

🥈 Reserve Grand Champion
🏆 6th Brisket
🏆 7th Chicken
🏆 8th Ribs

We managed to cut the gap from 21 points down to just 4, but came up just short of bringing home the Triple Crown.

Of course, you’d always love to finish one spot higher, but it’s hard to be disappointed with a Reserve Grand Champion against a great field of cooks. Every contest teaches you something, and every call reminds you why you keep chasing it.

Sometimes you get so busy chasing the next cookoff that you forget to stop and appreciate moments like this.

Looking back, winning IBCA Region 5 Cook of the Year in 2025 was a huge accomplishment for me and B-Man’s BBQ.

Competition BBQ is a grind, long drives, little sleep, expensive meat, unpredictable weather, and a whole lot of pressure, but moments like this make it worth it.

Appreciate every person who supported us this past season. We’ve got more coming. 🔥
