Some seriously good beer is hitting the road for Loveland.

We’re thrilled to welcome a few brewery friends making the trip to join us for Oktoberfest on October 3:

Wibby Brewing is rolling up from Longmont, Crystal Springs Brewing Company is coming in from Louisville, and Blacktooth Brewing Co. is making the trek down from Wyoming.

These crews are bringing their beer, their people and a little taste of their hometowns with them, and we can’t wait for you to get a pour in your hand and meet them.

Make sure you stop by, say hey, try something new and give them a proper Loveland welcome.

And trust us, we still have a few more Oktoberfest surprises up our sleeves.

Loveland Oktoberfest starts at home.

Before we introduce the friends traveling in for this year’s celebration, we’re starting right here in Loveland.

The steins have arrived. Oktoberfest season is officially here.

And naturally, the first pour had to be Farmer’s Daughter, our traditional Märzen Lager.

A little “From the Brewhouse” with Guy:

Märzen literally means “March” in German. Traditionally, these beers were brewed in March, lagered cool through the summer, then tapped in late summer just in time for festival season.

The result? A beautiful amber lager with rich malt character, a crisp, dry finish and just enough herbal character from traditional German noble hops.

And here’s your Oktoberfest beer lesson for the day:

Märzen ≠ Festbier.

Both can be called “Oktoberfest” beers, but they’re actually two different styles. Märzen is darker, maltier and richer. Festbier, which became a Munich Oktoberfest staple in more recent decades, is lighter in color and body with less pronounced malt character.

So when you’re navigating Oktoberfest beers this season, now you know what’s in your stein.

Or better yet, come taste the difference yourself.

Three acts. Six hours of live music. One very good reason to spend October 3rd at Grimm.

We’re kicking things off the only appropriate way: POLKA. Then turning up the brass before Mitch & Mack take us through the final prost of the night.

On September 19, Rush Archives returns to Grimm Brothers for a ticketed show inside the Forge Event Center, bringing their full production show, the BIG drum kit, and a deep dive into the music of Rush.

The Grimm Brothers, live in action. 🍺

The dunk tank is coming to Loveland’s Annual Oktoberfest on October 3rd.

Drink. Dunk. Dry. Repeat.

It’s just one part of the festivities taking over the Grimm lawn, with beer, pretzels, live music, games, flash tattoos, steins and plenty more.

And your throwing arm is doing some good. A portion of dunk tank proceeds will benefit a local charity.
