📣 A Colony Restaurant Update

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been taking a close look at how we can make the Colony Restaurant stronger, more efficient, and better able to serve our community for the long term.

As part of that process, the Colony Restaurant will temporarily close beginning Monday, September 28, and will reopen Thursday, October 15.

Please note: This closure is for the RESTAURANT ONLY.
🍺 The Colony Inn Spirit Shoppe will remain OPEN during its normal business hours.
🍦 Sweet Scoops will also remain OPEN during its normal business hours inside the Spirit Shoppe.

This planned, temporary restaurant closure will give our team the time and space we need to complete several important projects, including:

• Restructuring and preparing our new menu
• Staff retraining and preparation
• Equipment repairs and maintenance
• Deep cleaning and facility projects

We’re excited about the direction we’re heading and believe taking this time now will help us come back better prepared to provide the quality food and service our customers deserve.

🚗 And you’ll still see us during the break!

There will be a Car Show at the Colony Inn on Saturday, October 10, from 11 AM–2 PM. Lunch will be available for car show attendees that day, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone out for a fun afternoon.

Regular restaurant service will return Thursday, October 15.

We know a temporary closure can sometimes raise questions, so we want to be clear: we aren’t going anywhere. We’re simply taking a little time to work behind the scenes, make some needed improvements, and prepare for the next chapter of the Colony Restaurant.

And remember, the Spirit Shoppe and Sweet Scoops will remain open throughout the restaurant closure during their normal business hours, so you can still stop in and see us!

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and especially your continued support of our small family-owned business. We are incredibly grateful to serve Loup City and the surrounding communities, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to the restaurant on October 15! ❤️
