Bak 2 Skool: A Tastee Update
Bak 2 Skool... Bak 2 Skool... to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool...
Y'all, we fu***ng did it! We successfully ran our Summer Clubhouse Bakery Pop Up for 2 months straight, while the Camp Taylor Memorial Pool was open. Summers are notoriously slow for bakeries and restaurants, but we chugged along and had a blast slinging y'all delicious treats all summer long! We learned a lot about running consistent retail service; how it's wildly different from our monthly Pop Ups, from how much to bake, what y'all gobble up vs what just sits in the case. Great information to learn, but sometimes hard to swallow.
We have a lot planned for the Holidaze season, but first, we must work our way through our wedding season! While we are busy with our custom orders, we are planning to keep our Online Bakery Case stocked with some of your favorite treats from this summer.
During our Summer Clubhouse Pop Ups, we implemented online pre-orders for our bakery case items. This was a huge undertaking on our end, but it was so worth it! Many of our custies started using this option to purchase their bakery treats and schedule their pickups for times that were more agreeable to them!
We are still planning some proper Holiday Pop Ups this Fall, like Labor Day, Halloween, and of course Thanksgiving, but offering pre-order bakery pickups will cover all of those in-between weekends coming up this Fall.
Since our team will be busy delivering wedding cakes on the weekends, and we won't have the capacity to run a proper Bakery Pop Up every weekend, someone can still be in the shop to hand over your pre-ordered box of Tastee Treats!

Y'all support us so much that it only felt right to give something back to you! We have wanted to do this for a while, but once we got our new Square Register, we were able to turn that feature on!
Every time you spend $25 at the shop, you earn a star. Once you collect 10 stars, you receive $5 off your next purchase. That's a free treat!
All you have to do to enroll in our program is enter your phone number. Make sure to enter your phone number in-store or online when you are making your purchase. We won't spam you, promise! Entering your phone number identifies you in our system, and Square will send you text notifications when you collect stars or when you are ready for your free treat!

I love our little bakery community!
Y'all's continued support of our small little shop has meant the world to us this summer! We have been busting our butts off in that HOT kitchen to crank out all your favorite treats!
In just 2 months, June-July, we sold 314 variations of macarons (singles, characters, gift sets, etc.), 171 FDT Cookies (f**k them haters, ha!), 154 Dubai Brownies, and 143 slices of cheesecake!
Not only did y'all show up, but you also expressed words of encouragement that meant the world to us. The little comments of gratitude from our custies really turn your day around and make sweating your ass off in the kitchen worth it! I can't tell you how many times keyboard warriors told me that making my business political would kill 50% of my sales. We all know it ain't 50%, but even if it was, it didn't reflect that in our sales numbers. We couldn't have been busier during the slowest part of the bakery year!
Every time you come back into the shop, we get to know you a little better, and we absolutely love when you bring a friend! Seeing so many new faces in the shop each weekend, with most people saying, "We came here because we saw you online and we need these [FDT Cookies]!" Y'all get it, and we know you are our people. Putting yourself out there politically does the opposite of what the Maggots would like. It has kept them away from us and drawn in such a loving, caring, supportive group of people that we get super excited to bake for!
