We are floored by the outpouring of reactions in response to our announcement. To us it doesn’t just speak to the impact we have made on the community, it speaks to the community’s need and desire for more spaces like OLCC in Louisville. In the interest of supporting the continued existence and growth of worker co-ops, people-over-profit initiatives, and safe and inclusive third spaces, we want to try to facilitate another co-op taking our place at 316 W Ormsby. Our landlord is amenable to working out mutually-agreeable lease terms to accommodate this effort.

We only ask to be compensated for our equipment, the value of which will be distributed to current and past owners per our bylaws. We have ideas, resources, and connections we can share to help navigate financial barriers and learning curves, such as Patchwork Loan Collective in Lexington who offers borrower-friendly loans to co-ops as well as free coaching and development.

For serious inquiries, please, only, email us at [email protected]. We are excited to hear from you!

It is with a deeply heavy heart that we share that after almost 4 years of operation, we have made the decision to close our doors Sunday, March 22nd. This decision was not made lightly, and though we are sad to see this chapter come to an end, we have collectively decided to end on a high note. We believe we and the community are forever changed for the better because of the co-ops’ existence & that wouldn’t have been possible without YALL! We hope to see everyone’s sweet faces at least one more time before our last day!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our former co-owners for their tireless effort and tenacity. 13 amazing individuals have poured their care & love into the co-op over the past 4 years, we are grateful for their hard work & dedication to bringing to life the many visions we’ve had for the co-op over the years. We could not have achieved the success we did without their diligence and commitment.

We would also like to express our deep appreciation to our customers for their trust and support over the years. We are proud to have served the community of (Old) Louisville for almost 4 years. The co-op has been a hub for so many amazing events, meet-ups, first dates, study sessions, open mic’s, beat cyphers, step working sessions, (and so much more); we are forever grateful that y’all continuously trusted us for so many special moments.

While we are saddened by the closure of Old Louisville Coffee Co-op, we are eternally thankful for the memories, relationships, and experiences we have gained throughout the years. We will cherish these as we move forward.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey🫂🥰
