Located in the heart of the Langhe hills, at the top of the village of Castiglione Falletto, the Vietti w**e cellar was founded in the late 1800’s by Carlo Vietti.
The estate has gradually grown over the course of time, and today the vineyards include some of the most highly prized terroirs within the Barolo and Barbaresco w**egrowing areas.
This 2005 Barolo Lazzarito is stunning. Huge and dramatic on the palate, it boasts serious intensity and structure, with more than enough fruit to fill out its large, ample frame. A host of mineral and savory notes develop with time in the glass, but the 2005 is incredibly fresh and primary. As always there is a noticeable sheen of new French oak.
