Our butterfly garden has been so giving this Summer. Itโ€™s been a joy, and even at times, heartbreaking, to see them at all stages of life. We are thrilled to welcome wife & wife winemakers Tara Gomez & Mireia Taribรณ, by way of Amy Atwood Selections, to Lingua Franca for a very special wine & food pairing event. Tara is the first Native American winemaker in the United States, and Mireia, a Spanish winemaker who has brought old-world winemaking values and practices into Central California. They met in 2006, sparking a friendship then love that then turned into wine. Tara serves in The Hue Society as an advisor for Women-Owned Wineries as well as an advisor for The James Beard Legacy Network, with Mireia having served on the board of directors for the Sta. Rita Hills Wine Alliance from 2019-2023, helping promote the appellation and wines from this region.
