It’s been a while since I shared something personal here.
Harucake just turned three, and I’m officially 50 days away from becoming a mom🤰🏻✨
Yes… I’m having a baby girl, due October 10th.
The past several months at Harucake have been a little different. We’ve kept our menu a little smaller and we haven’t been taking on quite as many special cake orders as we normally do, so some of you may have wondered why.
The truth is, I’ve been growing a baby while continuing to run Harucake 👶🏻❤️🍰
Pregnancy has been much harder than I expected, both physically and mentally. There were so many things I still wanted to do, but I realized I couldn’t keep up with everything the way I used to. So I’ve had to slow down a little and focus on what I could manage.
Going through pregnancy myself has also given me a whole new appreciation for moms. I always knew it wasn’t easy, but actually experiencing it is something else. I have so much respect for every mom who has gone through this 🥹💖
Through all of this, I’m thankful to our team for keeping things going🤍
I also just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been a part of Harucake over the years whether you’ve been here from the beginning or found us somewhere along the way. All the support and understanding through the changes these past few months has meant a lot to me. And thank you for letting me share a little bit of my life with you too🫶🏻
I still can’t believe it’s been three years since we opened, or that I’ll be meeting my baby girl so soon. There’s so much to look forward to🤍
