โ๏ธ Cocoa-Dusted Tiramisu Cloud Domes
Want a dessert that looks straight from a pastry shop but is still absolutely doable at home? These dreamy tiramisu domes are soft, creamy, coffee-kissed, and guaranteed to make people stop scrolling.
Ingredients
Dome Base
18 ladyfingers
3/4 cup strong brewed espresso, cooled
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Mascarpone Filling
1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
8 ounces mascarpone cheese, cold
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Tiramisu Cream Layer
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
Finish
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup chocolate curls or shaved chocolate, optional
Silky mascarpone cream, soft espresso-soaked ladyfingers, and that final snowy cocoa dust make every bite feel rich, light, and irresistibly nostalgic.
Instructions
1. Prepare the coffee soak. โ
Stir the cooled espresso with 1 tablespoon sugar until dissolved. Set aside.
2. Make the whipped cream. ๐ค
In a cold bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
3. Start the mascarpone mixture. โจ
In another bowl, beat 8 ounces mascarpone with 1/2 cup powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
4. Fold the cream together. โ๏ธ
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until light and fluffy. This is your main dome filling.
5. Make the inner tiramisu cream. ๐ฅ
In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1/3 cup powdered sugar, and 1/2 cup mascarpone until smooth and creamy.
6. Prepare the molds. ๐ฐ
Use 6 silicone half-sphere molds. Spoon the main mascarpone filling into each cavity, pressing it up the sides to create a hollow center.
7. Add the creamy center. ๐ค
Spoon a little of the tiramisu cream into the middle of each dome.
8. Cut the ladyfinger bases. ๐ช
Cut or trim ladyfingers to fit the bottom of each dome mold.
9. Dip the ladyfingers. โ
Quickly dip each piece into the espresso mixture. Do not soak too long or they will become mushy.
10. Seal the domes. โจ
Place the dipped ladyfingers on top of each filled dome, gently pressing to level the bottoms.
11. Freeze until firm. โ๏ธ
Freeze the domes for 3 to 4 hours, or until firm enough to unmold cleanly.
12. Unmold carefully. ๐ฎ
Pop the frozen domes out of the silicone molds and place them on a tray or serving plate.
13. Chill before serving. ๐ง
Transfer the unmolded domes to the refrigerator for 30 to 45 minutes so they soften into a creamy tiramisu texture.
14. Finish with cocoa. ๐ซ
Dust generously with unsweetened cocoa powder just before serving.
15. Add the final touch. โจ
Top with chocolate curls or shaved chocolate if you want that extra bakery-style finish.
