Why your mental health isn't about "mental health"?
"Just like physical hygiene, we need emotional hygiene — the most important." -The Dalai Lama
Why does the mental illness epidemic continue to rise despite trillions spent? Because it's not a "mental health" problem. It's a daily emotional hygiene problem. It's caused by thousands of daily emotional stressors (like fear of people, despair of the future, worries about money and health, shame from social comparison, disconnectedness from childhood trauma, anxiety about heavy workloads and deadlines to pain from relationships), that skyrocket chronic stress, daily cortisol buildup, emotional dysregulation, then toxic inflammation — that cascade into bad mental and physical health.
It's like neglecting your oral hygiene. Do you think just visiting a dentist once a week will cure that if you're not doing daily brushing...?
Seeing a "therapist" once a week won't deliver emotional hygiene either. Thus, our mental illness epidemic.
"'Therapy' is neurobiological nonsense." — Prof. Dr. Bruce Perry, MD, PhD.
In fact, psychotherapy is shown by objective studies to radically raise stress hormones in most patients. Thus, damages emotional hygiene.

The masses are being led to follow dogma, not data.
When and who invented "talk therapy"? This antiquated practice was concocted in the 1800s by Sigmund Freud, who admitted to his close friend Wilhelm Fliess that these weekly talk sessions has suckered rich society women in Vienna.

Do you use a 1800s horse buggy or a modern car for daily transportation? Telegraphs or a smartphone? Then how silly is it to use Freud's antiquated "therapy"?
Psychotherapy is pseudoscience.
The American Psychological Association has quietly admitted for decades that psychotherapy outcomes depend on the actual therapist dispensing the "therapy." So, 1000 therapists delivering "CBT" yields 1000 different results. If it can't be standardized, it can't be truly compared and measured. And if it can't do that, it's not science.

It's no wonder "mental illness" continues to rise despite trillions spent on the "mental health" system.
In addition, sleep (a non-starter), meditation, support groups, socializing to "self-help" can't deliver sufficient emotional hygiene either.
You are designed to be happy and healthy. You just need to adopt daily emotional hygiene — the missing link in wellbeing: 10-minute co-regulation with caring others. Simple.
