Introducing the newest addition to the LA shop. A 1999 VW Lupo Cup Car, 1 of only 50 built. A true piece of VW motorsport history. 🚗🏁
This one comes with an even better story from owner Matthew (): “I have a thing for small cars, which is always fun when you’re 6’4" . A little backstory is that when I was 18 years old, I used to run a shop called Tuning Zubehör from 1999–2006 and the company sponsored both a Beetle Cup and Lupo Cup. Every time I’d go to Germany I’d see the Lupos and they were like the modern version of the Mk1 Golf GTI. Just like everything you can’t have, it’s been something I’ve always wanted.
Nick at Open Air Imports knew I wanted one and hit me up as soon as this one popped up for sale and I jumped immediately. Very stoked to finally have a Lupo Cup in my collection.
