Keep Paupack Strong Member Spotlight:

John F “Jack” Spall’s family has been vested in the Wallenpaupack School community since 1883 when his grandfather began first grade. Since that time all of his family members have graduated from The Hawley High School a predecessor to Wallenpaupack. Jack graduated in 1964, which was the first class to graduated from Wallenpaupack and he had always had a strong connection to the school. Jack became a board member to offer his time and experience to the school and community and has served for the past 35 years. When asked about this Jack said the following:

“For me Wallenpaupack has always been a special place and it has become one of the best run, finest, and most community minded schools in this state . We have a proven track record of well educated students, prudent fiscal responsibility, and a concern for all members of the community by the board of nine, which in my 35 years has ever had a personal or political agenda. It has always been what we can do for our students and how we can protect our tax payers, which I evident by the fact that we educate our students well and are one of the lowest taxed school districts out of 500 in this state. I have always been proud to represent the school district and the great community which it serves”

Some Fun Facts about Jack:

- His favorite foods are pizza and spaghetti.
- His hobby is automobile racing which he continues to do to this day.

Rainy day calls for hot food! Turkey/ham with candied carrots, glazed ham with scalloped potatoes, Boars Head London broil with mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken francaise and chicken bowls. Desserts too....triple chocolate cake, peanut butter cup-triple chocolate cake, carrot cake and rice pudding. Grab a black and white cookie to go! Enjoy!
