Is August the best month to visit Lopez Island? Many visitors think so! The weather is more reliably warm and sunny, and the rise in tourism means lots of action and events. Among the many things to do at the Lopez Plaza: We like to see the new artworks at the Chimera Gallery, and stop at the Lopez Bookshop for a great beach read. Pick up some tasty bakery treats, and a coffee at Lopez Grind -- or settle in for a meal at the Blue Heron Bistro, where the cuisine is both imaginative and classic. A stroll to the nearby beach is the perfect conclusion for your outing.

Summer! This year, June seems sunnier (and earlier) than usual, and we're seeing loads of boating and biking activity on beautiful Lopez Island. It's a great time for those long beach walks, and it's easy to get around on this bike-friendly island. Have fun!

It's that wonderful late-springtime, before the summer rush of visitors and tourists, when all the greenery is fresh and the sunsets are getting later. What a great time to be on Lopez Island!

Spring has definitely sprung, on Lopez Island! Lovely fresh vegetation; the summertime crowds haven't yet landed; the weather is promising, and the island is readying for a season of visitors. What a great time to be here! We love the springtime beach walks, the springtime flowers, and the fresh island air.
