It might feel like yesterday... but five years ago today, we served our last pizza to the Longmeadow community. Our friends at Longmeadow Historian have shared the post below with the history of Rinaldi's Plaza over the years. With multiple recent lease extensions, we are confident that the corner of Longmeadow and Edgewood will serve the Longmeadow community well for decades to come.
We are proud that our former location, where you all shared so many memories with us, has become the home of Fletcher's BBQ Shop & Steakhouse! Going into their third month, they are keeping up the Rinaldi's spirit of good food and good people.
Robert is loving life and enjoying retirement, along with his wife Kath, sister Carla, and brother Joey. The Rinaldi family recently welcomed twins - Theodore & Stella Keefe, Robert's second and third grandchildren. We miss seeing you all everyday, but please continue to keep up with Robert when you see him walking Romeo around town!
Salute! - Joseph Rinaldi
The "Rinaldi's plaza" as it was later called was built in 1916 and during the next 100+ years there were numerous businesses located here including a church group that a few years later became St Andrew's Episcopal Church on Longmeadow Street.
Today Fletcher's BBQ Shop & Steakhouse now occupies the space where Rinaldi's Italian Specialties was once located.
