Thank you so much for your understanding yesterday. We had an unexpected staffing Emergency and our pizza oven had to take a little break.

Everybody is ok and we are happy to say that pizza is back tonight.

Seven years ago, we opened La Norma hoping to bring a little piece of Sicily to Longboat Key.

We never imagined how many wonderful people would become part of our lives.

So many of you have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries with us, joined our wine dinners and cooking classes, brought your families and friends, and returned again and again.

Somewhere along the way, many of our guests became our friends.

Recently, more than 1,000 of you have taken the time to share your experience on OpenTable. Behind every review is a meal, a celebration, a conversation, or a special memory, and we never take your kindness and support for granted.

To everyone who has dined with us, celebrated with us, recommended us to friends and family, or simply made La Norma part of your life—thank you.

Today we enjoyed a wine tasting at Cottanera, one of the renowned wineries of Mount Etna, while Sicily’s majestic volcano put on a show in the background.

As Sicilians, we return home each year to visit family and reconnect with the traditions that inspire us at La Norma. The volcanic soils of Etna produce some of Italy’s most fascinating wines, and experiences like these remind us why we love sharing Italian wine with our guests in Longboat Key.

There is something special about gathering around one table.

Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting a micro-wedding celebration for 22 guests, served family-style, just as it would be in many homes throughout Italy.

Sharing dishes, passing plates, enjoying a little bit of everything, and most importantly, enjoying each other’s company.

One of our guests described it as “a special evening in Italy at a charming ristorante,” and we couldn’t think of a nicer compliment.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful celebration. ❤️
