A small and mighty group of wonderful humans got together for our first YF crew reunion since Covid. Much thanks to those came, ate and laughed. We’ve missed you.

After 5+ years of business, Yellow Fever is permanently closed.
We worked hard to bring healthy asian bowls to the local community but sometimes hard work is simply not enough to make a business successful. For those of who who wonder why…ask any other restaurant business owner. Restaurant biz is one of the most challenging, especially here in California with high rent, wage increases and rising food costs. We’re thankful for all our crew and our customers who we got to know over the years. We will forever cherish the memories. Here’s to the next chapter of our lives…

“Chin-gu” means “friends” in korean. In this case, referencing all our YF crew who’s been with us thru thick and thin.

Dear YF crew,

It is with heavy heart that we’ve let you know this week that YF is coming to a close. Since it’s all been announced, we’ve shared a lot of heartache, tears and hugs as we let it all sink in.

has a nickname of Mama Kelly and each and everyone of you will always be our yf friends. We came. We cooked. We loved. yf

And we COULD NOT do it without all the loving YF crew. People who’ve gone out of their way to give unforgettable service (Queennie, Zack, Lucas, Bryan, Maria, Richard, Dasja and Dani to name a few) , who lead and create a tight team holding people accountable, people with beautiful, unbelievable HUGE hearts who want to hang together...we love you. We’ve seen you grow, take charge, and grow to become a better human bean and we cannot be more proud to have you spend time with us while you were/are with us.

Tonite in Torrance was emotional and totally unexpected. Non stop line out the door on a Wednesday, customers showing their support, while our guys trying their hardest to get everything out. With more than an hour wait at time, we know it was frustrating. But we endured (thank you RJ and Melissa for coming to support - u guys were angels today). We came. We cooked. We loved. yf and that’s all can ask for.

For all those YF crew who’s come and gone...sending you love and gratitude. We couldn’t do it without you and we still think of each and every one of you. We created something special. Don’t forget that. Thanks for coming out and visitIng, those YF alums...let’s get together for a meal real soon!

Today's National Diabetes Alert Day, not awareness but alert. Not to scare you but over 13% of adults in California have diabetes and about a quarter of them don't even know that they have it - that's over a million people, folks! And one third of young adults are at risk of becoming diabetic. So what can you do to stay healthy? Eat well, exercise and sleep.

When we opened our doors over 5 years ago, we wanted to serve delicious, healthy whole food to help complement a healthy lifestyle. Not "preachy" crazy but a restaurant with lean meats, fresh produce, whole foods made from scratch, one that you felt good after eating at. We even educated a few customers who had asked “what is kalé?”. When you have great ingredients, especially with asian flavors, you really don't need to do too much. It's delicious!

So bring a friend and have a bowl at YF. And save that sugar bomb or processed goodies for special occasions. To feed your body and your soul:) FYI - we're also working on a full nutritional info for all our bowls so that you can better monitor what goes in your body. All feedback welcome!

Happy Chinese New Year! The year of the pig offers good fortune and prosperity! So go eat some lucky food today including Nooodles, that will give you long, healthy life. And it may be bit messy but slurpin’ your noodles are a-ok in asian traditions:). Ours at YF are made with rice noodles which means no gluten!
