Started with a piece of local history, the cottages began with officer barracks, moved up the beach from the military outpost of Fort Canby (now Cape Disappointment) in 1949. Perched atop a quiet western ridge on Washington’s Long Beach Peninsula, Anchorage Cottages offers the perfect ocean getaway. Impeccably clean and quietly cozy, each of our one and two bedroom cottages are surrounded by charm

ing gardens and relaxing patio areas, and all share our private path down to the water’s edge. Most cottages have fireplaces (we’re happy to supply the wood!) and we’re also pleased to accept the “furrier” parts of your family into most of our cottages for a small pet fee. Each unique cottage has a full kitchen and comes stocked with cookware, dishes and utensils—simply bring your favorite foods and a little culinary inspiration. If dinner tastes better to you when it’s served outside, feel free to borrow one of our BBQs or bicycles; if your idea of ‘making dinner’ is really ‘making reservations,’ please allow us to help you select from a variety of restaurants in the area—we pride ourselves on having the inside scoop on everything from fine-dining to fish-n-chips and we’re sure we can direct you to just the place that fits both your taste-buds and your budget. Just a short walk down our path through the grassy dunes and young pine forest, twenty-eight miles of beach clearly beckons. Take the long deep breath you know you’ve been needing and come to the Anchorage—we guarantee the fresh ocean air will make your relaxation complete! Enjoy our outdoor lounging areas while basking in the sun or reading your favorite book; pick up a basketball or a racket and rediscover the sport court; swing in the breeze on our play-set; gather friends and family for a game of volleyball on the grass or enjoy the Discovery Trail on one of our complimentary guest bicycles. A quick ride away (one mile), the town of Long Beach offers a myriad of galleries, antique stores, book vendors, kite shops, a video arcade, bumper cars, a movie theatre, several great museums, and much more…
