Fri 10/2 · tonight 7–10pm · 2nd Street Band, classic rock

Meet the Music: 2nd Street Band.

Gregg Young and crew are bringing classic rock tonight: the 80s, the 90s and the 2000s. Same patio. Louder guitars. 7–10pm.

If you've been here when someone grabbed the mic for a 4 Non Blondes moment… you already know the vibe. Bring your people.

What are you hoping they play? Wrong answers encouraged.

Some tables discuss the meaning of life. Others spend twenty minutes deciding whether to order food.

Both are doing important work.

A couple of scenes from the Marina W**e camera roll. Music nearby, a table to settle into, and a conversation that can go wherever it likes.

What’s your ideal w**e-bar conversation: solving the world’s problems, catching up, or absolutely nothing serious?

Not your typical w**e bar. And we like it that way.

Thu 10/1 · tonight 6–9pm · Radio Flyer

Marina W**e Logic: if the band plays the 80s, Thursday counts as the weekend. Those are the rules. We checked with ourselves.

Radio Flyer is here tonight, 6–9pm, playing the 70s, 80s and 90s. Friday can wait until Friday.

What's the one song they HAVE to play? 👇

Thu Oct 1 · International Music Day · Radio Flyer tonight, 6–9pm

UNESCO has marked October 1 as International Music Day since 1975. We've been observing it most nights of the week, just with less paperwork.

This week at Marina W**e:
Thu 10/1 · Radio Flyer, 70s, 80s and 90s · 6–9pm
Fri 10/2 · 2nd Street Band, classic rock · 7–10pm
Sat 10/3 · 60s and 70s Requests Night with Myles Roach · 7–10pm
Sun 10/4 · Brown the CousCous Yacht Rock Night · 6:30–9:30pm

Pictured: Brown the CousCous, who have every Sunday.

Wed 9/30 · open 5–10pm · no band tonight, just w**e

W**e for People Who Don't Speak W**e: you don't need the vocabulary.

Honestly, some of the best orders we hear are "something white, not too dry" or "what was that one I had last time?" That's plenty.

This week's easy afternoon white: L.A. Cetto Chenin Blanc from Valle de Guadalupe, Baja. Pineapple, pear, a little honey. Slightly off-dry. No quiz required.

What's the most confusing w**e word you've ever heard? Drop it below and we'll translate.

“Something I’ll like.”

Honestly, a reasonable thing to ask for.

You don’t need a speech about soil to order a glass of w**e. Start with what you enjoy. Something crisp? Something fruity? A red with a little more weight? Or the one your friend ordered, because apparently they won this round.

Every w**e on our list is available by the glass or bottle, so trying something different doesn’t require a long-term relationship.

What’s the most useful description you’ve ever given a bartender? Actual w**e vocabulary is entirely optional.

Open Wed 9/30 to Sun 10/4 · the skeletons moved in Monday night.
We locked the doors, pulled out the ladders and let the crew loose. Say hi to Noah (red scarf) next time you're in. He's taller than you and he knows it.

October is officially here.
The patio heard the news and poured itself something red.

Five nights, four bands, one wide-open Wednesday, and one captain's hat opportunity on Sunday.

We have done more with less.

This Week's Music Lineup

Wednesday, Sep 30
🕯️ No Band, All Conversation | 5:00 to 10:00 PM
No band tonight, which means you can actually hear your date laugh at your jokes. Or notice when they don't.

Grab a quiet corner for two, or pull up to the bar and let the table debate which w**e smells like "a campfire, but nice."

It's also the last night of September, and we'd hate for the month to leave without a proper toast.

Thursday, Oct 1
🎸 Radio Flyer | 6:00 to 9:00 PM
70s, 80s and 90s hits. The songs you know every word to, plus a few you'll claim you forgot until the chorus hits.

Last time, the whole patio was singing "I'm a Believer" and "Ventura Highway." Warm up accordingly.

Friday, Oct 2
🎸 2nd Street Band | 7:00 to 10:00 PM
Gregg Young leads a pool of about 40 rotating musicians. Reggae, blues, Latin, smooth jazz, whatever the night decides.

They're also the band that handed a mic for a surprise 4 Non Blondes moment. We can't promise the mic, but the precedent exists.

Saturday, Oct 3
🎹 Myles Roach, 60s and 70s All Request | 7:00 to 10:00 PM
You pick the songs. Myles plays them. Your table provides live commentary.

Bring a request, and a backup in case the next table has better reflexes.

Sunday, Oct 4
⛵ Brown the CousCous Yacht Rock Night | 6:30 to 9:30 PM
Yes, that's Myles on keys again. Saturday he takes your requests, Sunday he takes the boat out. Same guy, different decade.

If you own a captain's hat, this remains your weekly justification.

🍷 Coming Next Wednesday: Member Night (Oct 7)

First Wednesday of every month, we open four new and different w**es for our W**e Club members.

Taste all four. Pick your favorite. That bottle goes home with you.
Read that again. You drink w**e, you vote with your taste buds, and the winner rides home in your passenger seat.

Next Wednesday, someone at the bar will watch a member walk out with a bottle and ask, "Wait, how do I get in on that?"

Be the one walking out, not the one asking.

Join the W**e Club now and start enjoying benefits immediately

Five nights. One patio. A bar that treats "just one" like a rough draft.

See you at the bar.

Not your typical w**e bar. And we like it that way.

Love, your Marina W**e Bar Crew

Four nights, four decades, one patio. Pace yourself. Or don't. Nobody has ever paced themselves through yacht rock.

September is leaving. October would like to know why you haven’t made plans yet.

Thursday, October 1: Radio Flyer · 6–9 p.m.
The ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. Pick your decade. We won’t check your birth certificate.

Friday, October 2: Legends of Rock Dance Band · 7–10 p.m.
For the friend who claims they don’t dance. Interesting theory.

Saturday, October 3: Myles Roach · 7–10 p.m.
’60s and ’70s All Request. Finally, somewhere your opinion on the next song is being solicited.

Sunday, October 4: Brown the CousCous Yacht Rock Night · 6:30–9:30 p.m.
A little yacht rock before Monday starts making demands.

Which night are you claiming? Tag the person who needs to put it on their calendar.
