That first glance is always exciting! It’s fun to see the progress of what being up all night and half the day brings when you take a peek! It never disappoints… low and slow 20-26 hours plus 12 hours to rest. That’s what makes our meat amazing.

There’s something pretty special about taking turns tending the fire all night. 🔥❤️

One of my favorite things about us is that it doesn’t matter what needs to get done — we both step in and step up.

When one of us needs sleep, the other gets up and takes over. When one is exhausted, the other keeps things moving. There’s no “your job” or “my job.” It’s just our dream, our business, our family, and our fire to keep burning.

Last night was another one of those nights — trading off sleep, checking temps, adding wood, tending the firebox, and making sure everything was right for today.

Building Smoke Ring Romantics BBQ isn’t always glamorous. Sometimes it’s the two of us half asleep in the middle of the night, smelling like smoke and doing whatever needs to be done. 😂🔥

But I wouldn’t want to build this dream with anyone else.

We make a pretty damn amazing team. ❤️
