Another new venue space to explore!! ✨

I stopped by Overlook at Astor Park yesterday and couldn’t resist sharing a little peak at this gorgeous new event space! It gives every chic vibe of downtown with a little more convenience being just outside the downtown grid.

(PS — I’m dying to find a reason to have some sort of photo shoot in their “Trolley” seating or the “Photo Booth”) 👀

Definitely put it on your radar and call us when you start planning catering so we can go back and visit soon! 😉

Runs smoothly.

After working in the film industry and now blessed to work with weddings, I see just how similar the two industries are.

Together, each creative vendor does their work to create a collaborative art-a large production. Our couples are now our movie directors. We have sound, wardrobe, set, location, lighting, hair and makeup-we have it all! All of us are also working under that same pressure to make sure we get our shot. The one difference is there are no retakes. We get one day, one moment, one shot to make it perfect.

August Meet & Greet highlights✨ And this one was a little different!

We debuted a new Behind-the-Scenes Action Station, giving our tasting guests a peek at what happens before those beautiful butler-passed appetizers make their way into the hands of your guests. Our team was crafting Chicken Croquettes and Asian Chicken Wonton Tacos right before their eyes—fresh, fun, and ready for service!

And of course, there was plenty more to taste.

Julianna and Jack’s wedding was the perfect mix of bright summer color, beautiful details, incredible food, and a seriously fun guest experience!!

Their blue, white & gold palette set the tone, with gold animal accents at the tables and a stunning tiered cake topped with gold giraffes.

And the highlight? A special visit from The Columbus Zoo during cocktail hour, giving guests the chance to meet some furry and feathered friends!

On the menu: our new Crispy Vegetable Spring Rolls, signature Candied Bacon, and a plated dinner featuring guests’ choice of Roasted Beef Tenderloin, Herb Roasted Chicken Breast, or Pea & Broccoli Rigatoni.

A beautiful day with plenty of personality—and definitely one our team won’t forget. 🤍

✨ Tuesday Team Spotlight: Nicole McCrate ✨

Okay... this one is a little awkward. 😂

I'm usually the one writing these posts and putting everyone else in the spotlight, so when it came time for my own Team Spotlight, I immediately thought, "Can someone else please write this?" 😂 But here we are!

So here's a little fun about Nicole (well... me). 👇

💼 The official stuff: I'm our Sales & Marketing Associate and Event Coordinator, which means I spend my days helping couples plan their weddings, managing all our marketing efforts, designing our tastings, open houses, and social content.

❤️ The best part: After plenty of years in the wedding industry, there are a LOT of favorites. Getting to know our couples, helping create weddings that feel like them, and seeing it all come together on event day are at the top of the list.

🍁What I love most about Hudson's Edge? It lets me combine my passion for the wedding industry (I've been in the wedding world since college!) with my love for being a mom. ❤️ Having a job I genuinely love while still enjoying my babies in between the busy moments is something I don't take for granted—even if that means some days sending emails between diaper changes... for real. 😂

📱 The staff knows me as: The person always taking pictures of food, asking the team to "do that again for the Reel," and looking for more BTS content. 😂

Unpopular wedding advice? Skip the first look. 🙈 There's something truly authentic about seeing your fiancé's reaction for the very first time as you walk down the aisle. The nerves, the tears, the pure joy... that is a memory I wouldn't trade!
