✝️ This Easter, we celebrate the greatest truth the world has ever known — that our Lord and Savior has risen. The tomb is empty, death is defeated, and hope is alive. He is risen indeed.
Jesus told us that He is the Good Shepherd — the one who would leave the ninety-nine to go after the one lost sheep. Not because the ninety-nine don’t matter, but because every single soul matters. That is the love of our Savior — personal, relentless, and sacrificial.
And this week, we saw a powerful reflection of that same truth in the real world.
When an F-15 fighter jet was shot down over Iran, one of our own was left behind in hostile territory. The world watched as the situation grew more dangerous by the hour. But our military did not leave him. Special Operations forces went in — through danger, through enemy fire, through uncertainty — to find their lost one.
They searched rugged terrain. They faced resistance. Aircraft were hit, and the risks were enormous. Yet they pressed on until that missing airman was found and brought home.
That is what it means to leave the ninety-nine.
It is a reminder that no one is forgotten. No one is abandoned. Whether on the battlefield or in our walk of faith, the mission is the same — go after the one, bring them home.
This Easter, let us reflect on that truth. Just as those brave men went out to recover their brother, Christ seeks each of us. No matter how far we’ve wandered, no matter how lost we feel — He comes after us.
So today, we pray that all of God’s children turn back to Him. That hearts are softened. That the lost are found. That we remember who our Shepherd is.
All glory to God — for His mercy, His sacrifice, and His never-ending love.
He is risen. He is risen indeed. ✝️🙏
