Oak and Holly
As Winter draws near, the days shorten, and families gather together. We seek cozy comfort, such as in the warmth and sweetness of our Holiday Blend: Oak and Holly!
The sweetness of caramel, warmth of safflower, toasty nuts, and hints of chocolate oranges swirl together in this delightfully festive tea. Reminiscent of Sticky Toffee Pudding, Oak and Holly is sure to delight!
Named for icons of the season, Oak and Holly have been intrinsically tied with Midwinter throughout folklore and mythology.
According to Ancient Celtic peoples, the Holly King and Oak King endlessly battle for dominance, reflecting the cycle of seasons. The Holly King's power reaches its peak at the Winter Solstice, at which point the Oak King isreborn, perpetuating the cycle. Both surrender their life for the fertility of the land.
