Let us help you make your event something magical for we are not just a food vendor, but an experience! Started in 2010, Puttin' On The Mitts started as a side project upon graduating college. I wanted to venture out and share my love of baking with the world, so I began baking out of my kitchen for friends and family. The feedback was very positive and I was encouraged to open my own business. It

all started with a few cakes, then a couple hundred cookies, a wedding cake or two, and now I am looking to expand and share my love of high quality sweets with the world! Catering is available upon request, with 2-weeks notice and can only be local unless specified.

Lynn & Nick’s Wedding!

I had the absolute pleasure of catering the sweets for this lovely local couples wedding yesterday. They were freaking amazing to work with, we had absolutely perfect weather and I got to have a bunch of fun decorating the table too!

I truly am so lucky that I get to be a part of such a special day for people. I only like to take on one or two weddings a year and I make sure that I become friends with my bride and groom. It’s so much more fun!

Hey everyone!

We went to Maine this past weekend for FAM Fest 2024 and we had a blast! We got to bring a bunch of sweets and got to meet a bunch of sweet people along the way. Hopefully we will be back this fall, but if not...we shall return next year even bigger and badder!

It is always so hard to take pictures between working and having fun, but thankfully there will be some more professional ones too!

The Summer Season is upon us! ☀️
And I have some exciting news and updates!! 💜

After much consideration, I have decided to move away from daily vending at local establishments and begin to focus more on larger events, festivals and private functions.

Over the past 5 years it has been a crazy, inspiring, strange and interesting journey of figuring out who, what, where, why and how I am here and what I'd like to do, and now I believe it is time for the next phase!

Since the beginning, the goal was to get baby girl big enough to take on the road to music festivals. When I met my boyfriend, Nate, a billion years ago at this point, I told him that eventually we would mush our passions together and create "DD's Traveling Extravaganza" and now 5 years later we are there! He owns his own production company as well as DJ's so the concept of food+music has always been on our brains.

We may not keep the name, but the idea still stands and this year we are joining forces to make the food truck even better with new menus, possibly a new food truck, perhaps a little rebranding, and then hitting the road to feed all of your beautiful faces while listening to the deepest of basses!!!

My goal has always been to not only feed the people, but to create an experience that you eat with your eyes as well as your face......and I cannot wait for us to blow ya minds. 🤯

I cannot believe it has been five years already!
The pandemic has really made time such a strange concept.

It would take another 2 years to finish the trailer and she finally got on the road on Mother's Day of 2021 while we were still deep in the pandemic. Which actually ended up giving us a lot of time to do all of the work and get her painted.

And now she is heading into her last season before going into early retirement. She will be 56 this year! (She told me that she wants to keep working, but in a smaller capacity and closer to home.)

Thanks to everyone who has stuck with me throughout the years by coming out to visit me, donating money and time, letting me setup at your establishment, inviting me to vend at your events, sharing, liking, and watching my posts/videos and the many other ways everyone has helped me to be where I am today. I can take credit for the ideas, passion and drive...but I could not have done this all on my own. No friggen way.

So thanks.

Beeps decided that she was going to helping sweep up and organize the trailer with me. 🐈 🧹

We will be busy over the next few weeks getting the trailer all ready for vending, so until we are out on the road again...come visit us!
