If you are heading to the City of McDonough Christmas Parade this evening, you will no longer be able to walk over to Wendy's for a hot snack.

The Wendy's at 273 Keys Ferry Street, a fastfood staple on the east outskirts of Downtown McDonough for over two decades, has permanently closed.

The sign on the door directs customers to visit the location at 1169 Highway 20/81 at the I-75 Exit 218 interchange, which opened in 2021.

Wendy's recently announced that it is accelerating plans to shut down many of its lower performing restaurants that make far below the system average volume unit of approximately $1.1 million annually.
