Hey bagel lovers - we will be closed for about an hour today, Friday. We will close from about 10:30am to 11:30am. We SO wish this wasn’t necessary- but it is.

Franklin’s great Grampa, WJ, celebrated his birthday on Oct 1st. He was born on the 2nd, but he thought the 1st of the month was “better for business purposes”. 🤔

Grampa was a very colorful character. He lived in small town Iowa, but he had big dreams. I can’t give more details because I’m not sure the statute of limitations has run out. Perhaps it never will. 😬😉

So in honor of Grampa’s birthday, DREAM BIG today. Eat a bagel if you get the chance. 🥯

Franklin, owner of B&D’s, got an email trying to recruit him for a job as a Teluga language voice actor. They claimed his customer service background makes him a great candidate.

Since he owns a bagel shop, I asked the bagels and they said they have never heard him speak Teluga. I believe this job offer is insincere.

I think he better stick with his day job.

If you missed Selena’s birthday yesterday, don’t feel too bad - I did too. I’m too far away to give her birthday wishes in person, so I’m asking you to do it for me.

Selena is family. I tried to think of a perfect word and that just did it. She is a true friend to our dear B and Franklin’s good fishing buddy.

Oh and the bagels sing her praises too. Yes, the bagels can sing, but they typically do it between 5 and 6am(ish)
