ONE MORE BIG CLOSURE, AND HOPEFULLY THE LAST. 💛

We finally have dates for the next phase of repairs at Neptune’s. Neptune’s will be temporarily closed beginning September 28, 2026, with our planned reopening on January 2, 2027.

If you followed our closure last winter, you remember that our reopening date moved, and moved… and moved again. We REALLY don’t want to put our staff or our customers through that again. So this time, we have intentionally built some wiggle room into our reopening date. Our hope is that January 1 gives our contractors enough time to complete the work, deal with inevitable surprises that come with a project of this magnitude, and allow us to reopen only when we know we’re ready.
When we say this is a big project, we mean BIG.
This is not a cosmetic remodel, a refresh, or a project we decided to take on. These are extensive structural repairs that have become necessary because of problems with the building that were not caused by Neptune’s operations and were completely outside of our control.

The work involves major structural components of the building and requires major portions of the restaurant to be taken apart so the repairs can be completed safely and correctly. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to remain open while the work is happening.

We know another closure is frustrating. Believe us, we feel that more than anyone. Closing our doors for three months is not something we would ever choose to do. But after everything we’ve been through with this building, our priority is getting this work done correctly and permanently so that we can put this chapter behind us.

Our last day of service before the closure will be Sunday, September 27.

Please come see us before then. Eat some sushi. Have a Painkiller. Order a burger. Say hi to your favorite Neptune’s people. 💛

Then we’ll pack everything up and let the construction crews get to work.

Thank you for supporting us through an incredibly challenging chapter. We are very lucky to have a community that continues to show up for us. We can’t wait to welcome you back on the other side of this.

Here’s to 2027—and hopefully a much less eventful building.

Also, if you didn’t see our last couple of posts, we have updated our business hours. For the foreseeable future, we will be open Wednesday through Sundays 11:30-8:30 and closed Monday and Tuesday each week.

It’s been touch and go over here, but we are now open for business! We’ve *think* we’ve got our kitchen exhaust system up and running for good this time.

As of this moment in time, it’s running and we are staffed and operational and looking forward to serving you, today, tomorrow and onward!

A couple of updates from Neptune’s! 🌊☀️

First, due to an unexpected mechanical issue, we’ll be closed through Tuesday and will reopen Wednesday. Unfortunately, the parts we need aren’t available over the weekend (and our electrician gave it his best shot!), but we’re working to get everything fixed as quickly as possible.

We’re also making a change to our regular schedule. To make sure we can continue providing the food and service you expect from Neptune’s, our new hours will be:

Wednesday–Sunday | 11:30 AM–8:30 PM
Monday & Tuesday | Closed

This schedule will allow our team to be fully staffed and ready to take great care of you during the days we’re open.

We’re looking for dependable, hardworking people to join our kitchen team. Open positions include dish, prep, line cook, and sushi support depending on experience and availability.

This is a fast-paced team environment, especially during the summer season. We’re looking for people who can show up on time, work with urgency, stay calm under pressure, communicate respectfully, keep their station clean, and take pride in putting out consistent food.

Kitchen experience is appreciated, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn matter just as much.

🌞 Patio Season Starts Sunday, May 24! 🌴🍹

We’re so excited to officially open the Neptune’s patio for the season this Sunday! Sunshine, fresh air, sushi, cocktails, burgers, icy Painkillers while basking in the sun, and all the summer vibes are finally back. ☀️

A few quick patio notes:
• Patio seating is weather dependent — if it’s raining, very windy, or weather is moving in, we may temporarily close the patio to keep both our guests and staff comfortable and safe. We appreciate your understanding as Montana weather likes to keep us on our toes. 🌦️
• Per Montana state law, dogs are not permitted in dining areas where food is served. Service dogs are always welcome. 🐾

We’re also hoping to open the Tiki Terrace Rooftop Bar towards the end of June or by July 1! We just need some consistently nice Montana weather to cooperate before we can fully launch rooftop season. We can’t wait and will announce as soon as we have a date. 🍹

Henry whipped up a special dessert for the occasion: our Basque cheesecake topped with strawberry rhubarb ale syrup made with Montana’s meadowlarkbrewing Strawberry Rhubarb Ale, fresh orange supremes, candied orange peel, and a leaf of pan-fried basil.
