As we step into September, I’m filled with so much gratitude. 💚
Thank you for the prayers, the encouraging words, the check-ins, the conversations, the concerns, the shares, the recommendations, the patronage...ALL of it. None of it has gone unnoticed. And to those of you who choose Green Fork Kitchen every single day, every other day, every week… THANK YOU. I always say “Green Fork Family,” but I truly mean it. Some of you walked through these doors as customers and somehow became family along the way.
This journey has been anything but cookie-cutter. There were moments when doors that should have opened seemed to close instead. Moments when the path became harder than it needed to be. Moments when I had to keep fighting for something I knew I had worked hard for, even when circumstances around me made moving forward feel nearly impossible. But looking back, I’m thankful even for THAT part of the story. Because sometimes God doesn’t remove the mountain...He shows you that, with Him, you have the strength to climb it. Some things that were meant to discourage me strengthened me. Some things meant to delay me prepared me. Some things that could have made me quit gave me an even greater reason to keep going. And through it all, God kept making a way.
So, hi. 👋🏾 I’m Shanise, owner of Green Fork Kitchen. I’m still learning. I’m still growing. Green Fork Kitchen is still growing. We aren’t perfect, but one thing I can promise is that we will continue working to get better with each passing day.

Thank you for supporting a dream that took a whole lot of faith to bring to life.
September is another page in this story, and I’m walking into it grateful, stronger, wiser, and excited about what’s ahead.
If your own journey feels harder than you expected right now, keep going. A difficult road does not mean you’re on the wrong road. Sometimes the testimony is being written in the part of the story you would have skipped if you had the choice. Keep the faith. Keep showing up. Keep building.
