Switzerland Inn and Chalet Restaurant are at Milepost 334 on the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. We specialize in special events, weddings and mountain-top getaways.

Cottages, Cabins, Suites and hotel rooms (Main Lodge) available April-November. The only place to stay on the NC Parkway that is a privately-owned accommodation. Perfect for weekend getaways, a vacation base-camp and for a gathering place for clubs, corporate meetings and family groups. Full service, gourmet restaurant. Swimming pool, hot tubs, tennis, the Fowl Play Pub and terrace dining are available for guests.

There’s encouraging news for those looking to explore our area this fall! 🍂 According to an Oct. 5 news release, the Blue Ridge Parkway is reopening the stretch from milepost 63.7 in Virginia to Little Switzerland (near milepost 344).

These two other sections are also opening back up:
-Milepost 317.5, south of Linville Falls, to milepost 324.7
-Milepost 333.9 in Little Switzerland to milepost 340.2 at NC-80.

These latest repairs now leave only 11 miles of the parkway damaged by Helene to be reopened, Deputy Secretary of the Interior Kate MacGregor said in the release. “October is an especially important time for tourism throughout the region, and these openings mean visitors can experience more of the Parkway’s fall scenery while having greater access to the communities, businesses and destinations along the way,” said Superintendent Tracy Swartout in the release. “We are proud of the progress our employees, partners and contractors have made to restore access, and we look forward to welcoming visitors this fall.”
