Little Rock's Stone's Throw Brewing opened their Stifft Station Taproom on May 7, 2019. Located at 3015 W Markham St. in Little Rock, the brewery's second location brings their celebrated small batch beers and ciders to an area of the city so far untouched by the local beer boom. The opening marks the greatest expansion for the company since operations at their original 402 E 9th St. location began in July 2013.
The taproom is in the Allen Building, built in 1931 and part of the nationally registered Stifft Station Historic District. Near the intersection of Markham & Kavanaugh streets, the space is similar to the brewery's original location as an early 20th century commercial building built to serve a trolley stop. After 8 months of historic rehabilitation and renovations by first the Teeter Property Group then Stone's Throw Brewing, the taproom features an open floor plan with historic features including a pressed tin ceiling and large windows on both the north and south walls.
