Inspired by food truck courts they saw in Florida, Joy Evans and Kristi Scott opened The Filling Station in North Little Rock in July 2020 to expand food offerings and bring entertainment to the neighborhood.

Evans said the area was lacking in diversity before The Filling Station opened.
