What is a Pittsburg Style Steak?
-A Pittsburg style steak is a rare steak which is cooked with extreme heat. This extreme heat creates a delicious Char flavor and texture on the outside of the steak.

Why is it called a Pittsburg Style Steak?
-Similar to a Black and Blue style steak, the Pittsburg Style steak was created by Mill workers in Pittsburg who wanted steak for lunch but only had 30 minutes. Due to limited time lunches, the mill workers would cook their steaks in blast furnaces that would reach temperatures as high as 2000+ degrees Fahrenheit. This would leave the steaks with a black char on the outside and a rare juicy inside. Blasting the steaks with extreme heat also insured that all bacteria and germs were removed.
