🎉 We made it to our first weekend! Wahoo!
And we know many of you have been waiting for this… Johnny Cakes are BACK tomorrow!🙌 We’ll also have a few lunch specials joining the menu.

🍳 Breakfast:7:00–11:00 AM
🥪 Lunch:11:00 AM–1:30 PM
**Kitchen closes at 1:30 PM, and guests are welcome to enjoy the dining room until 2:00 PM.**

We’re learning, adjusting, and getting a little better every day. Thank you for all the patience, encouragement, and support during our first week. ❤️

We’re so happy to welcome Candy back to the Commons! A much-loved waitress and familiar face to so many, having Candy back with us makes it feel a little more like home again. 🥰

Day 2 felt a little better than Day 1, and we’re learning and adjusting every step of the way!

To help our kitchen team keep up with the incredible demand, we’ll be offering a **limited menu for the next couple of days** while we continue to fine-tune our flow.

And don’t worry—**Johnny cakes will be back by Saturday!** 🙌

Thank you for showing up for us today! 🤍

We are so grateful for the incredible support—and especially for your patience as we learn and find our rhythm. We learned A LOT today, and we’re already adjusting, and working hard to improve. We’re Open ❤️

7AM-2PM (for now!)

You may have noticed we didn’t make a big announcement or host a grand opening event. Instead, we’ve chosen a quiet opening.

These first few days will give our new team time to settle in, learn together, and make sure every guest has the experience we hope to provide for years to come.

We know we’ve missed part of the summer season, but we’re grateful to still catch a piece of it—and even more grateful for the patience, encouragement, and kindness this community has shown us every step of the way.

So if you’re driving by, stop in. Grab breakfast, lunch, or a coffee. Say hello. We’d love to welcome you.

Moments that remind us exactly why we love this town…

A huge thank you to Brousseau Landscaping for surprising us with beautiful landscaping out front. It was such an unexpected gift and another big step toward opening our doors. Your generosity, hard work, and community spirit mean more than you know.

Little Compton is the kind of place where neighbors show up for one another, lend a hand, and celebrate each other's dreams. We're so grateful to be part of a community like this.

🎉 A BIG MILESTONE FOR ELSIE’S! 🎉

We are thrilled to share that on Wednesday, July 22, Elsie’s on the Commons was officially licensed to open! ✅

From May 29 to July 22—just 54 days—our family, friends, contractors, and team have poured their hearts into bringing this Little Compton landmark back to life. In that time, we’ve remodeled, repaired, restored, hired an incredible team, and completed every required inspection and certification needed to welcome you through our doors.

What a journey. What a milestone. And... WAHOO! We’re putting the finishing touches on the restaurant, completing staff training, and making sure every detail is just right. The countdown is officially on, and we can’t wait to welcome you to Elsie’s on the Commons very soon.

Update: Many of you heard that we had hoped to cater tonight's Town event. We were truly honored to be invited and looked forward to serving our community. Unfortunately, because our licensing and final approvals came together so quickly, and due to the Department of Health requirements for temporary food events, we made the difficult decision to step back.

As excited as we are to get cooking, we also believe in doing things the right way. Starting our journey with full compliance and confidence is important to us, and we know it's the best decision for our business and our guests.

We're putting the finishing touches on the restaurant, completing staff training, and making sure every detail is just right. The countdown is officially on, and we can't wait to welcome you to Elsie's on the Commons very soon.
