A little wedding cake PSA from your baker 🎂☀️
This past Saturday, I delivered this beautiful buttercream wedding cake to an outdoor wedding on a hot summer day. Although the cake was placed inside an air-conditioned tent, the combination of extreme heat and humidity still caused the buttercream to begin softening.
Buttercream cakes are beautiful, but they are also sensitive to heat. For summer weddings and outdoor events, it is extremely important to keep your cake in a cool, climate-controlled environment until it is time to cut and serve.
Your wedding cake is an investment and a special part of your celebration, so proper temperature and placement matter! 💕🎂
