Hey everyone,
I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for all your support.
For those who don’t know me, I’m Ian Harwell, the former owner of Ground Control in Litchfield Park, which sadly is no longer around.
2024 was a tough year—losing my dad and my dog, and then our landlord kicking us out after 17 years in business. It was a lot to handle. And just when I thought things couldn’t get worse, 2025 brought four out-of-state funerals in the first half of the year.
After battling some tough times, my friend Tim at Patent 139 Brewing Co. gave me a chance to make my Hot Chicken in his kitchen for a day, and it was a hit! That opened doors for me at places like Kitsune Brewing Company , Throne Brewing, and Tombstone Brewing North.
Those kitchen takeovers really reignited my passion and confidence, and now here we are, celebrating my 43rd birthday, and 2 months into this endeavor of Desert Burn Hot Chicken, our food trailer!
The road here has been bumpy and wild, but I'm here and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunities given to me.
I hope you enjoyed my story, and I’d love for you to come check us out soon. We’ll be on Roses by the Stairs Brewing’s pario this Friday evening and at Kitsune Brewing on Sunday.
