After many long discussions, we have heavy hearts as we make the decision to close Park Avenue Parlor. The rising costs in materials, food, supplies, and wages have made the survival of a small business very difficult. Our goal was to become a staple in our historical downtown of Lisbon and be able to support the surrounding community.
The opportunity to team up with other local communities and provide quality products to Lisbon was part of the original plan. We thank all of those that partnered up over the last two years with Park Avenue Parlor. We will always be cheerleaders for these small businesses that have been with us from the start: Maggie’s Magic Muffins (Boardman), LiB’s Market Coffee (Salem), L & B Donuts (East Liverpool), Tri-State Supplies (East Liverpool). Other small businesses have really helped us recently include Kathy’s Creations (Alliance), Coezy’s Meat Market (Lisbon), Trickling Springs (Leetonia) and Baker’s Golden Dairy (New Waterford).
Another thank you to those that have helped us with the blood, sweat, and tears on this journey. We always asked our employees to become family and make it an experience for anyone that comes into Park Avenue Parlor, no matter if it is their first time or hundredth time walking into the door. We thank our families that have gone above and beyond to help give us a chance to be successful. Those that would come help do baking in the odd off hours or do pick-ups for us and those that watched our children so we could be able to be present at the parlor.
Finally, we thank the customers! Those that became regulars and those that just discovered us when driving by. We would have never been able to do what we did without your support.
Please keep a look out for announcements on our page. We will set a date and time to open our door for anyone to come in and make offers on equipment and supplies that we will be unloading.
