❤️ WARM HEARTS, WARM CLOTHES! 🧥🧣

We're excited to share that Porchlight Tavern is partnering with **Basehor-Linwood Assistance Services (BLAS)** to help keep our neighbors warm this winter!

We're collecting new and gently used winter clothing to help local individuals and families in need. If you're cleaning out your closets or have a few extra items to spare, we'd love for you to consider donating!

🧶 Sweaters & hoodies
🧦 Warm socks & shoes
🧤 Hats, gloves & scarves (new, please!)

*Please make sure donated clothing is clean and in good condition.*

We'll also be accepting **monetary donations on behalf of BLAS** to help them purchase winter clothing and other needed items. Every dollar helps ensure our neighbors have what they need to stay warm this winter!

This one really hurts 💔 Our community lost one of the good ones with the passing of Jerry Long. If you knew Jerry, you knew that smile. He was one of the sweetest, kindest people you could ever meet and the type of person who would do absolutely anything for anyone.

We were lucky enough to get to know Jerry over the last year and a half. While we were remodeling the bar, he would stop by every week just to see how things were coming along, visit for a while, and cheer us on.

One thing we learned about Jerry is he loved his Chiefs, he loved his Jim Beam & Coke, and mostly, he loved the people around him. ❤️💛 We’re going to miss the conversations, the laughs, that big smile, and simply knowing Jerry was around for a good joke.

Rest easy, Jerry. You are so incredibly loved and will be missed more than you know. And no matter what, you’ll always have a seat at the bar. 💙🤍🩶
