Hi Kindred Readers. I wanted to share a personal recommendation. (I’m not great at writing reviews so bear with me.) I read this book as an ARC copy. At first I was thinking this isn’t my genre (science fiction) but I was so glad I ignored that. It sucks you in from the start. It’s filled with action but many other aspects surprised me. I won’t leave any spoilers. I just stocked copies of this, so come check it out when we open!

Hello! Boozhoo! Halò! We have some new followers, so I thought I’d introduce myself and the bookstore. My name is Jessica and I’m the owner of Bruyere Books & Tea. I’m q***r and neurodivergent and I wanted to create a space where everyone feels welcome and safe. I’m not just creating a bookstore - I’m curating a haven. You’ll find q***r and neurodivergent books and/or authors, as well as local authors and bestsellers. One thing I’m really excited about is our selection of middle grade and young adult books.

A little more about me: I have pets, I love to read (obviously), I own a Harley Wide Glide, and I speak a little Ojibwe and I’m learning Scottish Gaelic. (Can you say hyperfocus?) My dog is Makwa, and his name is the Ojibwe word for bear. I’ve lived in Minnesota most of my life and Lindstrom for almost seven years.
