This past week, and we hear this more than you know, we had new local customers tell us they didn't think a sandwich shop could provide what they would like. "Its just a sandwich, not some fancy dinner place".
But they decided to try it. The Settler. The Swede. The Bella. The Gustaf Melt. They order and share so they can try each one.
They LOVE them.
They can't believe how filling they are and how great they taste. They love the quick service and smile from the friendly staff. The atmosphere is quaint and reminds them of Grandma's house.
They plan for a breakfast date in the next week to focus on the Swedish Pancakes or cheesy potatoes.
This is part of why we exist. We aren't just another burger place or cafe. We have unique menu with Scandinavian culture attached. Or Minnesota flare. Homemade desserts and organic ingredients where we can. Made fresh for our customers.
We hear this often. "Why didn't I try this before? We will be back". And they do.
Travelers stop and ask us to build one in their community. They wish we were closer. They recognize the small eatery has something that is loved.
Thank you to those who are our "regulars" and to those becoming our "regulars". We love getting to know you and being there for you. We have come to understand why restaurant owners stay in the business for decades. Its like a family. ❤️
