It’s official: the Twixes will be heading back to Beatrice Humane Society on Monday!

Right Twix (white and black) has already been spayed, but Left Twix (black and white) will need that one last surgery to make her adoption ready!

Both girls are as sweet as a Twix bar and will be ready for adoption ASAP! They love attention, love to play, and get around amazingly even with that missing eye! Both girls healed up to beautifully, I can’t believe how grown up they look🥹

Didn’t catch us last night?

Just realized that our post from last night never actually posted!

We had a great time at the University Place Creative District Maker’s Market! I’d say this was one of their largest markets and it was so busy once the temps went down! So many food trucks, amazing performances, and so many people we got to chat with! We hope you guys had as amazing of a time as us!

Events that we’ll be at for the rest of the month (aka this weekend)!

Friday night we’ll be at the University Place Creative District Maker’s Market from 6pm-10pm! We’ll have so many new goodies that we’ve grown to two tables! This will also be the largest Maker’s Market of the season, so be sure to stop by and check everyone out!

Saturday we’ll be at the Falling Leaves craft show at the Sandhills Global Event Center from 10am-3pm! Just in case you miss us Friday, come see us on Saturday because admission is FREE!

We’re in the process of making a LOT of cat toys so we hope to see you there!

Meet Blinker Fluid!

This little girl was found in a car engine yesterday and spent the night with us until Capital Humane Society opened up today!

She had a long day yesterday and was dropped off to us around 11pm! Blinker Fluid went right to sleep and then woke up this morning full of rage! She was HANGRY for sure! After some formula, she stopped hissing and spitting and went right back to purring and meowing sweetly! 😭

Glad we were able to keep this little lady safe for 12 hours until she could go to CHS! Her finders are just waiting for her to be old enough and then they’ll be adopting her! Good luck Blinker Fluid!

These two are just so cute! Left and Right Twix were really put on this earth to steal hearts 😭

Right Twix really acts as if she never came from outside. She’s constantly flopping all over your feet and climbing up your legs to get as many pets in as possible. She loves to roll all over your lap while making air biscuits and it is so cute!

Left Twix is such a little girl and she’s really starting to come out of her shell! The first night she wasn’t quite sure who we are, but now we walk into the room and she tries her best to compete with Righty for attention (which is hard since she’s like half the size of Right Twix).

We’re counting down the days for Peanut M&M to join us again and our trio to be complete! These girls might not be sisters, but they make a great little bunch of fosters!

Guess who’s back and brought her friend?

Right Twix has returned and brought with her none other than LEFT TWIX! It seems like both the Twixes have a strong desire to make biscuits all day every day because they are constantly working overtime!

Right Twix made herself right at home again after her return, flopping on our laps, making air biscuits, and purring non-stop. She was able to get her eye looked at and cleaned up, spayed, AND had a hernia fixed yesterday!

Left Twix was finally able to join us after fighting a nasty little infection post surgery. She’s still a little squirrelly with people, but I’m sure with having Right Twix in the same vicinity she’ll learn soon enough! She already loves chin scratches and her little face is SO CUTE!

Lil Peanut M&M is just spending a couple extra days at Beatrice Humane Society to make sure she’s back on track before she comes back to us! They’ll be better equipped to monitor her bathroom habits and such if shes on her own for a few days, so don’t worry she’ll be back soon enough!

These girls will be with us a bit longer to heal up before they’re ready for their forever homes!

Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of attending a needle felt your pet class at the LUX Center for the Arts with my co-workers. You guys already know I had to pick my girl Skwid as my needle felting model! It truly was such a fun experience to hang out with the entire class and learn a new hobby together! I especially loved to see everyone’s pets come to life!

While Skwid didn’t turn out 100% perfect, she still got her rememberable apple hat and the bald eyebrows most black cats have. It’s safe to say that I might need to buy my own supplies and needle felt every cat and kitten we’ve ever fostered 🫣

Welcome our two newest fosters: Twix and Peanut M&M!

They’ve kinda been through the wringer their first few weeks of life. Twix had to get her right eye enucleated and Peanut had a big ol’ hernia that needed fixing. After a nice and successful surgery for each of them, they’re healing up with us the next several weeks!

Twix is a biscuit making FIEND! I don’t think anyone has told her that she doesn’t have to pay back those medical bills because she is working overtime to the max! Sweet little Peanut is the size of a peanut m&m and has decided that we’re actually not that scary and follows us around the kitten room when she’s not on our laps!

These girlies are actually part of a trio of little girl kittens that needed surgery, our third just needed another check up after her enucleation and should be joining us in the next few days. Of course once she’s here, we’ll introduce her as well!

Shout out to Beatrice Humane Society for always doing what’s right for even the littlest of guys! We’re so happy that we get to work with such a great local shelter😻
