We opened in 2018 with the help of our former partner Sam McLean who contributed most remarkably to our business in the form of its overall design, but not less remarkably in his kindness and willingness to continue to forward mail and answer an occasional question. Ray Magnus is a Veteran. He served with the Army Paratroopers for 6 years total. He was with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam an
d with the 101st Airborne Brigade at Ft. During his service he received many medals including a purple heart, bronze star, C.I.B., army accommodation medal with a V, jump wings, and assault wings of which he is most proud, but also many more. Ray is also a veteran of the service industry having owned and operated several different business throughout his career. We offer casual dining in a clean, stylish space with brick walls, wood floors, and exposed industrial ceilings. We have a large patio with outdoor dining when weather permits. We operate as a gastropub. We are a full service, family friendly restaurant until 10pm when we close the kitchen and transition to a bar only requiring all patrons to be 21 years of ago or older. Our train theme seen throughout the restaurant pays tribute to Limaโs past and continues into the menu. Our Engineerโs Cabin offers 7 different sharable appetizers and features crowd favorites such as stuffed tater tots, pretzel bites which resemble buckeyes, beer cheese, and fried pickles which are neither a spear nor a chip, but a fry served with a sweet and slightly spicy asain chili dipping sauce. Our Railcars offer burgers, chicken, and other sandwiches along with seafood platters and flatbread pizzas served with your choice of 10 side cars including our signature sidewinders, sweet potato fries loaded with toasted marshmallow cream and caramel, king cut onion rings, and cole slaw made with buffalo sauce and diced jalapenos. Our burgers are a custom grind of beef, brisket, and short rib and are fresh, never frozen, allowing them to be cooked to your preference or otherwise served medium well and features toppings such as peanut butter, pulled pork, and mac and cheese. We also offer weekly Chef Lunch Specials in the summer and a Soup of the Week during the colder months along with a Weekend Dinner Special featuring a step up from our usual burger and fries. We have 5 different delectable desserts in our Caboose and feature a seasonal Dessert of the Month as well. Wash is all down with an alcoholic beverage! We have a full bar with a diverse liquor selection and a knowledgeable staff capable of creating anything from a Wobble to a Manhattan. We have 15 different beers on draft including seasonally rotating crafts alongside the tried and true domestic offerings and a bottle selection featuring imports and wine coolers. We have a small wine selection featuring a mid-shelf offering of all the major types. We have seasonal cocktail menus along with a Drink of the Month and cocktails available only one night of the year such as the Love Potion and Poison Apple Martinis. We have live entertainment every week! On the weekends in the summer we host full size bands who bring big energy on our spacious patio and smaller acts with a more easy listening vibe during the winter. We also have karaoke every Wednesday night.
