I’m a, wife, mama, and urban chicken-owner. I’m originally from Bluffton, Ohio where I also attended the University… [I’m a beaver, you’re a beaver, we’re a beaver all]… yes… that is a real cheer, from a real past cheerleader… you’re welcome lol. Want to know something? Just ask, I’ll tell ya everything � I love my family fiercely. I am a terrible speller and I am thankful for Alexa, because she can tell me how to spell something when I know even spell check will say, “uhhh what the heck is that word?” I am a giant sucker for reality tv shows, but not the crazy drama ones. Vacations are my jam, and my favorite is our annual week long trip to the Smokies on our Harley Street Glide. Just me, the hubs, and the oh so beautiful mountains. *Sigh*…I’d love to call that place home. I am a giant Harry Potter fan that felt like a little kid on Christmas when I visited Hogwarts in Florida. I’m currently reading the series to my kids, they are loving it just as much as me! I love an adventure, but I am also down to curl up on the couch to binge watch a show, or float on my pool all day

Guests were complimented us at wedding receptions…

But they hadn’t even SEEN the photos yet.

Then a groom left me a 5 star review the morning after his wedding—before he had seen a single image.

That was my “aha” moment.

It really does matter who you hire.

Because the experience you have with your photographer becomes part of the memory, too. 🤍

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it actually means to choose a photographer.

Because you’re not just hiring someone to take pretty pictures.

You’re choosing a person to be present for some of the most important, emotional, vulnerable, exciting, chaotic, beautiful moments of your life.

Your wedding day. Your newborn’s first days. Your family. Your bo***ir session. The moments that become part of your story, and eventually, your core memories.

And when you look back at those photographs years from now, you’re not only going to remember what happened.

You’re going to remember who was there.

Which means if you can’t stand the person behind the camera… well, congratulations. 😂 Now they’re part of the core memory, too.

And THAT is why I’m changing the way I show up here.

For years, I’ve treated social media mostly like a portfolio: here are my pretty pictures, here’s what I photograph, here’s my work.

But that only tells you what I can create.

It doesn’t tell you who I am.

And honestly, I think that matters just as much.

So I’m going to start talking to you. Sharing stories. Showing you the person behind the camera. Letting you see my personality, my sense of humor, the things I love, the things I’m passionate about, and probably way too many stories because I’m apparently incapable of telling a short one. 😂

Because I don’t want you to feel like you’re flying blind when you choose me.

I want you to feel like you already know me before you ever step in front of my camera.

And if we’re going to spend some of your biggest moments together?

I kind of want us to be friends. ♡

It’s WEDDING WEEK for Megan & Trent! 🖤🥂

I love sharing engagement sessions the week of the wedding because I get to take a little trip back in time and relive all the fun! Last fall, we explored downtown, wandered through alleys, practiced some of my ridiculous prompts 😂, and even met their adorable fur baby who showed up wearing a PEARL NECKLACE! 🐾🤍

The forecast is looking perfect, and I cannot WAIT to celebrate these two this weekend! Happy wedding week, Megan & Trent! Let’s make some magic! ✨

Well… apparently I’ve been sleeping on my social media platforms. 😂

For way too long, I’ve treated social media like a portfolio instead of a place to actually be SOCIAL.

So I’m changing that.

You’re going to see more of ME around here. I’m going to talk to you, tell you things I love, share behind the scenes, probably overshare occasionally, and attempt to tell one story without somehow turning it into 10. 😂

I may or may not be undiagnosed ADHD. We’ll just call it ✨enthusiasm✨ for now.

I want to get to know the people on the other side of this screen. Ask me questions. Tell me what you want to see. Let’s actually talk.

And listen… I’m not for everybody. That’s okay. 🖤

But if you like a little personality, a lot of randomness, and following along while I figure out where this next chapter takes me…
