Always missing my buddy Peteš„¹
This was the last message on Peteās sign that is still there todayā¦ā¦.
If Pete were still here- I wonder what his sign would say now??
I remember another one he had put up before saying āGet US out of the UNā
This man was never shy on his words, or his jokes for that matter. Pete once said if he had to do all over again he would have kept a joke book for all the good ones that came through there. He said some of those jokes got many miles on themā¦ā¦.. if you remember a joke from him- please share!
He had a sign in the store that said āWelcome to Illinois- where our governor makes your license platesā I remember him saying āWho would have thought that I would have to add an āsā to governorā
