Coordinates: basecamp, door propped wide open, one door down from Rogue Arcade.
Main Street Lexington

Terrain: clustered, disheveled, smell of paint and cleaners. The door now opened, fully exposed to the curious eyes. I welcome it all.

Today's expedition: no digging. Today was about the door itself. We've stopped trying to keep the discoveries hidden. It stays open now as we work through the wheres and hows and whys- not just for the air, sweet as it is to have flowing fresh and alive, mostly because we've decided this place should be discovered in progress, not unveiled.

So if you're walking by and catch it propped open: you don't need an excuse. Come in. Say hi. Ask what we found today.

**SIDE QUEST LOG BOOK — ENTRY NO. 2
Main Street Lexington

Coordinates: still basecamp, one door down from .
Terrain: unknown, and getting stranger the deeper we dig. Quite slippery. Caution needed.

Today's expedition: excavation. Beneath darkened layers , we found something. Old. Heavy. Buried under the darkened layers; and a pulse. Maybe...faint.

We think it's the heart of this place. It's been here longer than we have- maybe longer than the building's had a name. Whether it still has a pulse, we don't know yet. But there were signs. We're choosing to believe it.

We're not saying more until we know more. Some finds you sit with for a while before you talk about them.

Reconstruction begins now. Stage one: get it clean enough to see what we're actually working with.
And I end the day with my fresh Hungarian peppers for dinner. Ah yes.

Terrain: Conditions primal but there is real life within. Must keep eyes looking ahead.

This is basecamp. It is a bit worn. It will not stay this way for long.

Somewhere beneath this I can see it now. It must be a kitchen! I can feel it all, beneath the worn walls and humid air; a warm bowl of something good to eat, a seat where I might relax, and a reason to wander off Main Street for that sublime moment.

We're logging the whole journey here-the real, occasionally chaotic story of how a room next to an arcade turns into somewhere you actually want to eat.
