Here’s this week’s Springerle cookies in lemon and rum spice flavors. I’m pretty pleased with the overall results. I’m selling them in 4 ounce packages - which is anywhere from 3-6 cookies.

This is the first time I’ve tried a lower temperature oven with a longer bake - essential for the large cookie in the middle. You don’t get as much of what is called “the foot” this way, but you also don’t get the puffing of the image which tends to crack. I’m always experimenting and learning!

The details are incredible before baking, but the real test comes in the oven! Will those intricate images hold their shape and definition? Watch for an update after baking - maybe tomorrow!

The tastes of fall…does that mean apple or pumpkin for you? It’s hard for me not to lean toward apple, so this morning I made some very “taste of fall” apple cardamom muffins with amazing Rasa Orchards apples! I did my due diligence and sampled one - so good!

Maybe your tastes lean toward savory snacks - especially when needing a snack for watching football. We have you covered there, too! Snack mixes, pimento cheeses (including bacon habanero for you spice lovers), hearty breads for a perfect sandwich, and Tabo Farms, LLC meats for your grill or crockpot.

If you’re craving a warm cinnamon roll, I have those this morning, too, along with banana and pumpkin breads. Add to that the sweetness contained in our cookie cabinet, and we’ve just made your decisions a bit harder today.

It’s a BEAUTIFUL day here in Lexington! A perfect time to stop by the bakery and grab what you need (or want-no judgment!) for your weekend.

We have wonderful cookies, sweet breads, yeast breads, and so much more. Try our new apple butter cheesecake bars, pumpkin whoopie pies, or grab a decorated sugar cookie.
