Here's a pic of some of our favorite human and non-human friends to share some exciting updates!

Because our "Pay if you Can" setup was so well received...moving forward all future setups at Donut Days will be a Pay if You Can setup...please spread the word and let any of your more vulnerable acquaintances know when we will be there.

We are completely booked for all back to school open houses as well as sorority spirit week and bid day, thank you to our Greek Friends for being such great supporters!

Lastly, save the date for NEXT Saturday, August 1st from 5-7pm we will be with our friends Cloud Candy at Belleau Wood Park where we will be serving Lexington's Best Hotdogs with all the fixin's and Lexington's Best Cotton Candy and dirty sodas from Cloud Candy! If you haven't yet seen what they can do with a cotton candy machine Next Saturday would be a great time to check them out!

Thank you so much to everyone that stopped by the cart today! The Health Dept Came early and gave us the all clear for our delicious toppings, WKYT came by and did a quick interview, and so so many of our customers decided to pay it forward and covered meals for future customers. To top it all off...the weather was a 10/10!! Thank you for being the best Happy Hotdog Eaters!

Come! Regardless of if you don’t get paid til Friday, or your account is overdrawn, or you feel like no one cares about you…they do! We do! Come!

Aww man...It looks like our Donut Days Setup will just happen on Thursday of this week as we are going to have severe storms during lunchtime tomorrow. As planned it will be a "Pay if you can" setup from 11am-1pm.

Tomorrow, there is high probability that Lexington will see strong to severe storms. This could include 70-80 mph straight line winds, hail, and flash flooding. Our Emergency Management team has stayed up to date with forecasters and Kentucky Emergency Management in order help prepare our public safety teams. Lexington’s first responders will be prepared to assist our residents. Our Streets and Roads, Water Quality, and Traffic Engineering teams are on call. They have been advised to check equipment and have vehicles prepared. Our major concerns are power outages, fallen trees/tree limbs, and dark traffic signals, but there is also potential for flash flooding. Stay alert and tuned in to local weather updates.

Fun Fact, I am 3rd Soccer was our very first big gig when we started Katie's Happy Hotdogs 6 years ago. We are so grateful for the partnership with them, and also The Centenary Church who oversees the league! What an impact they have had on so many families over the years! We are also happy to be the official "feeders" of all of the refs and the staff completely free of charge at all of the games that we are a part of. It is the least that we can do to show our support for all of the hard work that they do every season!

Thank you to everyone that shared our post for this coming week's schedule! Instead of announcing winners from individuals that shared we are instead moved by Matthew 25 verse 35; For I was hungry and you fed me.

This Tuesday and Thursday we are doing a "pay if you can" setup. If you'd like to pay...then pay. If you can't, or could use the break from the constant opening of your wallet in a time when everything feels expensive...then don't. We are sharing it here and will also write this on our menu board for those that are not on our social media.

Sitting in church this morning it was obvious that we are called to do so much more than "just" serve hotdogs. Please come to the cart regardless or your mental, spiritual, or financial circumstance. We cannot wait to see you.
