A man in Finland built a solar-powered yacht that traveled thousands of miles without using fuel. ☀️⛵

In Finland, engineer Lukas Sjöman built a DIY solar-powered yacht named Helios 11 for around $20,000. Made from marine plywood and fiberglass, the boat uses rooftop solar panels, batteries, and an electric motor. Sjöman successfully sailed the vessel over 3,000 nautical miles from Finland to Spain completely on clean energy.

These birds were believed to be extinct, but they are returning!

Blue macaws that inspired the movie Rio have returned to the wild after decades. 🦜

For years, the beautiful blue macaw species faced serious threats from habitat loss and illegal wildlife trade. At one point, the birds were believed to be extinct in the wild.

Conservation groups worked for decades to protect the remaining birds and rebuild their population through breeding programs. After years of effort, some macaws have finally been reintroduced to their natural habitat.

The return of these birds represents hope for endangered species everywhere. It shows that conservation work can sometimes reverse even the most difficult situations.
