Closed out August and we're setting our sights on September.
Closed today but open Tuesday through Labor Day itself. All out of Peaches but the Straw-Berry Pretzel-Vania sold amazingly well so it'll hang around the rest of the season. We'll have Orange Ice Cream available as well leading up to the holiday weekend.
Time to clean, stock and prep.

Awesome end to the night tonight.
Keith, long-term loyal customer and all-around good guy, showed up shortly after nine with a dog. I had never known Keith to own a dog but Keith is good people and good people deserve dogs (and vice versa). He told me he had been driving along south of the ice cream shop and came upon a lost dog. Now most people could just drive them by, go about their day and worry not at all. But, like I said, Keith is good people. He brought that scared little dog to the ice cream shop and asked if anyone had lost a dog. I didn’t know but began posting a picture here and there. Within a few minutes Cathie Heika, also a darn fine person, amazing realtor and friend of all the pets, posted contact information. From the shop we were able to contact the owner of the lost dog and within a few minutes Keith showed back up with the lost pet shortly followed by one of the owners. Before their vehicle could even get into the parking lot that scared little dog started barking excitedly. Pet and owner reunited, new friends made and happy ending to a story.

We are gonna round out the last weekend of August on a high note.
Sadly we are now out of Peaches but the Lewis-Berry Pretzel-Vania Sundae is a fine substitute. Plenty of Black Cherry Soda for those floats and we have less than a dozen burgers left for the Mushroom & Swiss Special.

Dinner special is gonna, as the kids say, "slap".
A 1/3 # CAB burger simmered in from-scratch gravy with sauteed mushrooms and Swiss cheese on a lovely Kaiser roll. We'll even throw in a side of sea salt chips.
These will not last long so come and get'em!

Ok we are in the thick of the last weekend of August.
Weather looks great and we've got some great items to tempt you. The Lewis-Berry Pretzel-Vania Sunda was a HUGE hit as it debuted yesterday. The Black Cherry Soda Float was selling briskly as well. We've for a limited number of Loaded Tater Tots in stock supply-wise that will be available as soon as we open. Finally we've got an upgraded dinner special that we will unveil at 2 PM.
