This post is to share important information to all the people who are more than clients, they have been partners of this wonderful adventure. After several weeks reviewing all possible scenarios or alternatives, we have the sad news that "The Porch" will close its doors. We opened just with the start of a pandemic and the effects are still being felt, it has been almost 3 years of constant challenges but in which we have learned and above all we have met wonderful people. People who had never tried Venezuelan food and who now identify with arepas, patacones, empanadas and other delicacies. We are honored to have had the opportunity to show you a little piece of our beloved land. We'll be working for a few more days, so if you haven't tried it yet, we invite you to devour our inventory. The origin of the CACHAPA is attributed to the central Venezuelan region, the indigenous people who inhabited the Mirandina lands cultivated corn, a cereal that was worshiped and considered of divine origin, so appreciated was it that its cult was later associated with the Christian religion, getting used to to sow grains of corn on St. Isidro Labrador day to pay tribute to farmers
