A little reminder before school starts!

🎒🚌 BACK TO SCHOOL SAFETY WEEK - WHEN TO STOP FOR SCHOOL BUSES! ✏️📚

🟡 YELLOW FLASHING LIGHTS — The bus is preparing to stop. Slow down and be prepared to stop.

🔴 RED FLASHING LIGHTS + STOP ARM — STOP! Drivers must stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.

🛑 WHEN TO STOP: Stop when you are approaching a school bus that is stopped with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended. This applies when you are traveling behind the bus or approaching it from the opposite direction, unless you are on the opposite side of a physical barrier or divided highway.

⚠️ Passing a stopped school bus is not worth the risk. In Pennsylvania, a violation can result in a $250 fine, 60-day license suspension, and 5 points on your driver's license.

Most importantly, a few extra seconds are worth protecting a child’s life. 👧🧒

🚫🚌 Stop for the bus. Protect our kids. No exceptions.
