Blind Tiger We have a history of surprising your tastebuds, and now we will surprise you yet again! A "Blind Tiger" was actually a fascinating term from the 1800s.

Our restaurant will provide you with the history of Lenox, great food, and a great experience! It was a nickname for speakeasies and illegal drinking establishments that popped up during temperance times, particularly when alcohol restrictions were sweeping across America. In fact, the first Blind Tigers in South Carolina appeared in Charleston around 1893 as a way to resist the strict "Dispensary

" laws put in place by Governor Ben "Pitchfork" Tillman. We hope to help this name live on in with our restaurant and pay homage to this rebellious history and the history of Lenox, Iowa.

Well, it turns out my showmanship skills might be a whole lot better than my selfie skills...

This dame had the pleasure of stepping into the ring for the Taylor County Fair Celebrity Show, and what a fantastic way to shine a spotlight on the amazing small businesses that make our county special.

A huge round of applause to the incredible 4-H and FFA members who trusted us enough to borrow their animals for the event. You made this rookie feel right at home!

At the Blind Tiger, we're all about community, good neighbors, and making memories. Whether it's behind the bar, around the smoker, or in the show ring, it's always an honor to support the people who make Taylor County such a wonderful place.

Dolls and gents, the Blind Tiger has two new numbers on the menu, and they’re dressed to impress.

Burnt & Blue $14
Beef burnt ends, crisp romaine, blue cheese crumbles, cherry tomatoes, pecans, red onions, and blue cheese dressing. A salad with swagger.

The Dirty Bird $14
Chicken strips, fresh greens, pico de gallo, queso fresco, roasted corn, and BBQ ranch. A little wild, a little classy, all delicious.

Friends of the Blind Tiger, lend an ear.
The Blind Tiger will be closed again this week while we take a breather and let the smoke settle.

Our updates hit a few snags, and the crew decided to steal one more week to kick back, sip something cold, and soak up the summer sun.

We’ll be back soon rested, refreshed, and ready to pour with all the charm and mischief you expect. Until then, keep your spirits high and your barbecue cravings on standby.
